Origin of Oak - Bark Tannin
DRUGS AND UPTAKE OF 32p BY ERYTHROCYTES 533' 5. Sodium salicylate and sodium thiopentone depressed the 32p uptake of 2:3-diphosphoglycerate and adenosine triphosphate to a greater extent than they depressed the 32P exchange of inorganic phosphate and hexose monophosphate. These agents do not depress 32p uptake by inhibiting triose phosphate dehydrogenase, for neither drug had any effect on glyc...
متن کاملProduction of Tannin from the Bark of Eucalyptus camadulensis
Tannin is a very versatile industrial material found in many parts of plants such as the bark of Eucalyptus camadulensis (EC). The bark of EC that normally peels off during the dry season has usually served as anxious substrate for pathogens. In the present experiment, tannin was leached from the bark of EC using water as solvent. Tannin produced varied from 5 to 12%. The yield obtained was fou...
متن کاملIsolation and Structural Elucidation of New Xanthone from Rot Bark of Cratoxylum sumatranum
Sumatranaxanthone A (1), a new xanthone, was isolated from the rot bark of Cratoxylum sumatranum. The structures were established based on spectroscopic studies, notably of the 1D and 2D NMR spectra. Preliminary results showed that 1 has antioxidative activity with inhibition 81% to fit with ascorbat acid standard.
متن کاملUltrasonic-assisted extraction of condensed tannin from acron, gland, leaf and gall of oak using response surface methodology
Ultrasonic technology and response surface methodology (RSM) wereused for optimization of extraction of condensed tannins from the leaf, acron, gland and gall of oak. Three independent variables such as solvent percentage (%), temperature (°C) and time (min) were studied. Effect of methanol concentration was found to be significant on all responses. Optimal ultrasonicassisted extraction (UAE) c...
متن کاملMode of Repellent Activity of Condensed Tannin to Quelea
INTRODUCTION Nonlethal chemical repellents are being vigorously investigated to control wildlife feeding in agriculture and silviculture and thus alleviate damages to food, feed, and fibre. Unfortunately, few effective avian repellents have emerged, partly because workers tend to be anthropomorphic in their basic assumptions about target species and repellent action (Rogers, 1978), and partly d...
